The chicks return
Coats are draped over chairs. Pet toads and fish sit on the countertop. Shoes litter the floor. There is stuff EVERYWHERE. Yes, it's holiday time and the girls are home for Thanksgiving vacation. Fortunately, along with the clutter comes the great company of my daughters. We sit and chat, getting caught up, laughing, watching favorite movies. And we cook. Certainly, the pleasures of dorm food and the typical meals available in a student apartment make eating at home all the more attractive. As a welcome home, I cook up a special meal, amidst the preparations of the upcoming mega-meal.
